Campaign Management Institute (CMI) is co-hosted by Forward Janesville and the League of Women Voters of Janesville.
Forward Janesville created Campaign Management Institute (CMI) to give civic-minded citizens a firsthand look at the nuts and bolts of running a campaign. From filing nomination papers to developing campaign materials (and everything in between), CMI examines every aspect of the political process. Nearly 150 individuals have graduated from CMI during its history, and twenty graduates have been elected to office.
- The first segment of the Campaign Management Institute will focus on government structure, the responsibilities of elected officials, and the personal and professional challenges faced by public officeholders.
- The second segment will delve into the technical details of running a successful campaign, including the filing and nomination process, required forms and records, and campaign finance.
- The final segment will help participants develop a winning campaign strategy by focusing on topics like media relations, connecting with voters, and designing effective campaign materials.
Campaign Management Institute will be conducted by recognized local and state leaders with decades of diverse political experience. CMI will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 8 AM
in Forward Janesville's conference room at 14 South Jackson Street. This FREE
class is open to anyone interested in learning more about the political process, especially those who are considering seeking local office.
